POLYCARBONATE LENSES
To meet the stringent worldwide safety eyewear standards, Wiley X uses lens material called polycarbonate.
The flexibility and strength of polycarbonate enable it to stop the impact from a 12 gauge shotgun or fragments from an IED (Improvised Explosive Device).
Anti-scratch coatings are also applied on all lenses to increase the lifetime and maintain a high quality product.
These SEL (Smart Edge Lens) technology lenses are de-centered and tapered to ensure they can meet ANSI optical clarity standards.
They also provide 100% UVA and UVB protection.
