As a dry eyes sufferer I have found these gaskets handy in keeping dust and light out of my eyes. They have to be washed regularly (which I neglect to do) due to sweat reacting with the foam over time. If a different material that handled sweat and body oils was used, I would give a 5 rating. All in all they are comfortable and work.
